Its Lauren again. Today we will post about Ida Saxton McKinley. Ida was born on June 8, 1847 and died on May 26, 1907 at the age of 59 of Brain Cancer. Ida married President William McKinley. Ida 's children both died in childhood but there names were Kathirene McKinley and Ida McKinley. Kathirene died at the age of 3 because she had typhoid fever and Ida died at the age of 4 months old of a difficult birth and delivery.

Frances Folsom Cleveland Preston

Its Lauren. Today we will post about First Lady Frances Folsom .    Frances was born on July 21, 1864,in Buffalo, NY and died on October 29, 1947 at the age of 83 in Baltimore, MD. She married President Grover Cleveland (m. 1886- 1908) and Thomas J. Preston Jr. ( The son of Captain Thomas Preston in the Revolutionary War, also involved in The Boston Massacre) (m. 1913- 1947). Her children were Ruth Cleveland who died at the age of 12 of diphtheria  on January 7, 1904 and was born on October 3, 1891- Esther Cleveland who died at the age at 86 and was born on September 3, 1893 and died on June 25, 1980 and she married Captain William Sidney Bence Bosanquit (m. 1918-1966)and her children were Philippa Foot and Marion Bosanquit- Marion Cleveland (1895-1977).- Richard Folsom Cleveland ( 1897-1974)- Frances Grover Cleveland- ( 1903-1993).

Ellen was born on August 30, 1837 and died on January 12, 1880 at the age of 42 because of pneumonia. She married 21st president of the United States  Chester A. Eliza McCardle Johnson

Today i will post about Eliza McCardle Johnson. Eliza was the 17th First Lady of America (This might be a little confusing to some readers of my blog : Because 15th president of America James Bucanhan never married the first ladys are backed up, So technically Eliza was #16.) Eliza was born on October 4, 1810 and died on January 15, 1876 at age 65 of tuberculosis. She married Andrew Johnson and her children were Martha Johnson,Mary Johnson,Robert Johnson,Charles Johnson and Andrew Johnson,Jr.

Mary Todd Lincoln

Hello Everyone,


Today we will talk about Mary Todd Lincoln. Mary was born on December 13th 1818 and died on July 16th 1882. She married Abraham (Abe) Lincoln. Her children were Robert Todd Lincoln, Edward Lincoln, Willie Lincoln and Tad Lincoln. Unfortunately only one of those children lived to adult life. Robert Todd Lincoln lived to be 82 years old and was the 35th Secretary of War and the United States ambassador of the United Kingdom. Unfortunately Edward Lincoln only lived to the age of 3 because he had tuberculosis. Unfortunately Willie Lincoln only lived to age 11 because he had typhoid fever very badly. Tad Lincoln lived to be a little bit older but unfortunately he only lived to be 18 from tuberculosis. So what happened to Edward, Willie and Tad were extremely sad and I am sure that to lose 3 kids so young was extremely difficult for there family to go through.

Dolley Payne Todd Madison

Hello Everyone,

Today I will post about the 4th first lady of America. Dolley Payne Todd Madison.




On May 20th 1768, A girl, Dolly Payne, was born to Mary Coles Payne and John Payne,Jr. In January 1790, Dolley Payne had married John Todd. They very quickly had two sons, named John Payne and William Temple. Born July 4th 1793. In August 1793 a yellow fever broke out all around killing thousands of people including Dolley's husband, her three month old son William Temple, and her husband's parents. In 1794, Aaron Burr introuduced Dolley Madison to James Madison. Madison, who was 43 years old, was 17 years her senior. In August, Dolley accepted James' marriage proposal. They married on September 15,1794. In 1812, the year that war broke out with Great Britian, Madison was re-elected. As the British army started to near Washington, and staff of the White House prepared to flee, Dolley ordered a Stuart painting, a copy of the Lansdowne portrait, removed. In June 1836, James died and in 1849 Dolley died.

Martha Wayles Skelton Jefferson

Today I will post about the third first lady of America. Martha Wayles Skelton Jefferson.




On October 30th 1748 Martha Wayles was born to Martha Eppes Wayles and John Wayles, she was their only child. Martha Eppes Wayles died when her child was six days old. Martha Wayles first married at age 18 to Bathurst Skelton on November 20th 1766. They had one child together,John, who was born on November 7th 1767. He died a few years later at the age of 5 because of a fever. Then in 1768, Bathurst died from a sudden illness in Williamsburg,Virginia.Martha Wayles likely met her future husband, Thomas Jefferson, in Williamsburg,Virginia,in about 1768. They were third cousins. They got married on January 1st 1772. They had 6 children but only two daughters survived to be adults.

Mary Polly Jefferson who died at the age of 26

Abigail Adams

Hello Everyone,


Today we will talk about the famous 2nd first lady named Abigail Adams.


On November 26th 1744 a baby girl was born to William and Elizabeth Smith at North Parish Congregational Church located in Weymouth,Massachusetts. Her mothers side of the family was the Quincy Family, who was a well-know political family in the colony of Massachusetts. Abigail did not have any education, and therefore Abigail's mother schooled Abigail and her sisters Mary and Elizabeth, at home.Due to the fact they were third cousins, Abigail Smith and John Adams had known each other since they were young children. In there of 1762, John Adams accompanied his friend Richard Cranch, to the Smith's household. Richard was engaged to the older sister of Abigail,Mary,. John, who was quickly attracted to the 17 year old girl who surprised him that she knew so much about poetry,politics, and more due t the fact she read so much.



The couple married on October 25th 1764 at the Smith home. The new couple settled to their new home in Braintree, Massachusetts. They later moved to Boston. In 1765 their first child was born, a girl, named Abigail, they nicknamed her " Nabby". In 1767 their 2nd child was born, a boy, John Quincy Adams, who would one day be the 6th president of America. In 1768, their third child was born, a girl, Grace Susanna,who died at the age of two, In 1770, their 4th child was born, a boy, Charles, In 1772, their 5th child was born, another boy, Thomas, and last in 1777 their 6th child Elizabeth was stillborn.



And finally on October 28th 1818 of typhoid fever, Abigail died. Her last words were " Do not grieve, my friend, my dearest friend, I am ready to go. And John, it will not be long.

Martha Dandridge Custis Washington.

Today we will be posting about our very first First Lady of America. Her name is Martha Washington. We are going to talk about basically her life and facts about her.



Martha Dandridge Custis Washington was born on June 2nd 1731 to John and Frances Dandridge on her parents plantation named Chestnut Grove inside the British Colony. She was the eldest daughter of John Dandridge. On the day of May 15th 1750 at the age of 18 she married Daniel Parke Custis, a wealthy planter who was two decades her senior. They lived on White House plantation on the south shore of Pamunkey River. She had 4 children with Daniel, named Daniel who had died at the age of three,Frances who died at age four,John who died at age 7,and Martha who died at 17. Then in 1757 the death of Daniel Parke Custis due to a heart attack, left age 25 Martha Dandrige Custis a widow. Martha Dandridge Custis age 27 and George Washington age 27 married on January 6th 1759 at the White House.

Day 3 for Steve Jobs. Ok lets get started on this.



  When Steve graduated from high school in 1972,He enrolled at Reed College in Oregon.There was only one problem,Steve couldn't pay for college.So Steve went to the dean of Reed.He asked if he can live in the dorms and sit on the classes for free.Steve would not get a degree,but he would learn about subjects he was interested in. Why would the dean agree with that? The dean was impressed by Steve.Within a week Steve was attending classes.

Day 2 for Steve Jobs everyone. I think that Steve Jobs was very important if we didn't have him we wouldn't have Apple Computers and iPhones and many more .So lets get this started.





Steve's father Paul was a mechanical whiz,And he passed on his love of gadgets to his son .One of they're neighbors gave Steve his first Heathkit. In 1968 when Steve was 13,Steve found out that he was missing one of the parts from his kit. Bill Hewlett offered Steve a summer job and promised him a bagful of machine parts. But what was Steve's answer? Yes!,Of course. Steve met Steve Wozniak who was several years older.

Today 's post will be about A book I read in school about Steve Jobs. Its called Who Was Steve Jobs this book is the previous book I read in school now I am reading a book called Who Was Bill Gates both of these books are very good books to read. So now let 's start Steve Jobs post day 1 -



Steve was adopted his parents who put him up for adoption were named Abdulfattah Jandili and Joanne Jandili,His parents who adopted him where named Paul And Clara Jobs. Abdulfattah And Joanne put Steve up for adoption because they were young and had no money. When Steve was 3 years old the jobses' family adopted a little girl named Patti. Steve liked Patti,But they did not have much in common with each other.The Jobses' family lived in Mountain View,California. People called it the valley of hearts delight.Eventually the area became known as Silicon Valley.


Steve loved to help his father work on cars. His father Paul taught him how to use a chain saw.
